◻️ Support for those in need of adult social care during the pandemic

[August 2020]

During the first lockdown, much of the support for disabled people in Hampshire was withdrawn, with daycare provision closing and homecare visits significantly curtailed because of Covid 19.  A study by the Research Institute for Disabled Consumers showed that 50% of people with care needs were no longer receiving personal care visits.
We contacted our local County Councillor to ask what emergency support was being put in place.  He confirmed that locally all day centres were closed but that some respite centres were opened to give a break to carers.

We will continue to push for increased support for these families.
