The government have changed the law so that voters will now have to present an identification document (ID) that has their picture on to vote at a polling station. Postal voting is unaffected.
The following will be accepted, even if they are out-of-date:
- Photocard driving licence
- Passport
- Bus pass
- Blue badge
- ‘PASS’ proof-of-age card
- Ministry of Defence ID card

If you don’t have any of those, you are entitled to be issued with a special certificate which will do the trick instead.
There is no charge, but you must apply before Tuesday 25 April 2023.

…or you can complete a paper application form and submit it to Electoral Services, Havant, PO9 2AX.
In either case you will need to provide a passport-type photograph.
